Bro. and Sis. Zimmerman, me and TonyI met my new friend Susan Zimmerman via the internet.
It's a cute story and I'll give you the short version.
Visit Sis. Zimmermans blog "This is Z Life"
for a more comprehensive account of our trip.
December 2008
I offered my guest house to my friends daughter's out of town visitors. I receive a comment on my blog from the mother of John, who is one of the young men visiting. We start e-mailing. Well, Sis. Susan and I continue to e-mail back and forth, discovering that our husbands love to hunt! We exchange phone #'s for our husbands to contact each other about hunting. I think the men talk a few times about hunting seasons, out of state licenses, etc. and the next thing I know, we are planning a trip to Arkansas! Tony and I pulled our 5th wheel across 5 states to stay and hunt with people we've never met. Honestly, we "instantly" took a liking (I'm trying to sound southern) to Bro. and Sis Zimmerman. We had so much fun the week we were there. Tony and Bro. Z went hunting all week, and Sis Susan and I ate and shopped, saw the sights of Little Rock, and ate and shopped some more! Thank you Bro. and Sis Z for the fabulous time we spent with you at your farm and we look forward to hosting ya'll in October!

The back porch was the scene for many a butchering!
Imagine our surprise when we run into our old friends A.J. and Cheryl Nesterenko, whom we haven't seen in 25 years! They now live in North Little Rock and attend First Pentecostal Church of NLR.
